Premiere: The Shoos release jam session video for 'First Time' #BuyIrishMusic
In times of trouble, trust The Shoos to deliver feel-good, catchy pop rock tunes.
Hot Press are proud to present the world premiere of The Shoos' first video release in four years, 'First Time'.
Especially in the current climate, it's nice to see a group of friends jamming together in the rehearsal room. 'First Time' certainly makes me want to join in from my self-isolation bubble. "We jam all the time. A lot of our material would come out of a jam session, rather than having to sit down and pen a song", singer Shane 'Tex' Fallon tells me down the line.
"It was a song we'd had on the backburner for a while. We were thinking about first times...the first time we had sex, went to a concert, played a gig. It was around 1995/6 when Britpop was massive...it was just a really cool time to grow up, it felt like a movement was going on. And we all would have been around 17 or 18 at that time. It was our formative years".
