PREMIERE: Colm Warren explores loss in 'Void'
The video stars Mary O'Loan and was directed by Matty Killen.
After spending years fronting punk outfit The Twenty, Colm Warren is stepping into the solo spotlight for the first time. Hot Press is proud to premiere the stunning video for his debut single, 'Void'.
An Overture to navigating nihilism and emerging victorious on the other side, 'Void' is “the resultant deep emotional trauma”, and a frank exploration of loss, according to Warren. The track was recorded in Offaly by Joe Egan.
With a delicate country lite twang, the song is imbued with a stoic emotionality. The video, which stars Mary O'Loan, is as moody and dark as the track itself. We expect great things to come from Warren as his solo career blossoms.
