Preachers Son for Arthur's Gig
Preachers Son, the band lead by Kila bassist Brian Hogan and Emmaline Duffy-Fallon, will play 'Our Thursdays with Guinness' this coming Thursday, July 15 in the South William, South William St, Dublin,with guests Tabby Callaghan on guitar and Joe Leech on bass.
Preachers Son will also play Indiependence Festival in Mitchelstown, Co Cork, on Sunday August 1 on the main stage at 4pm, and Bandstand Live, Dun Laoghaire Harbour alongside Bipolar Empire and others on August 15 3-5pm.. In further news, Preachers Son have also been invited to play Indie Week Canada 2010 (Oct 13–17) in Toronto.
The band were recently Pick of the Fortnight in Jackie Hayden’s First Cuts column in Hot Press and they’ve been described as having “a grit-glam sound channelling equal parts David Bowie, Nick Cave, Johnny Cash, and the Legendary Shack-Shakers.”
Preachers Son’s debut single ‘X For Sandra's video was included in the Irish Music Video Show for Nokia Festival TV at last weekend’s Oxegen. Their debut album Love Life and Limb is due for release on October 1 through Reekus Records. Guest artists on the album include Gavin Friday, Liam O Maonlai, Kieran Kennedy, Jose Carlos Anselmo Flores and Rori Coleman.
