Post Punk Podge & The Technohippies share Vol.1 of mixtape series Transmissions from the GPO

Blending ambient music, funk, krautrock, techno and hip-hop, Post Punk Podge & The Technohippies are back with their first instalment in their new instrumental mixtape series, Transmissions From The GPO.

Each volume of the mixtape series is set to introduce the various members of The Technohippies to the world – beginning with Mr. Cash 4 Gold, who recorded the project.

The release comes at the end of what's been a landmark year for Post Punk Podge & The Technohippies. Tipped as one of our Hot for 2019 Irish Acts, the Limerick outfit's have built up a formidable following, with standouts sets at festivals and venues across the country. February saw the the release of their Post Millennium Tension EP, self-described as "a call to arms and a call to the dance floor against the hypocrisy and mundanity of modern life", while Podge teamed up with Liv 3 last week to release the video for ‘FM Birds Parts I, II & III’.

Post Punk Podge & The Technohippies support TPM at the Kino, Cork tonight (Nov. 29). They also play Quarter Block Party in Cork (Feb. 8).
