Recalling Radiohead’s ‘Just’ and Maroon 5’s ‘Harder To Breathe’ in equal measures, Kodakid’s ‘Portis’ is far too sinister to have been written about that nice lady who goes around helping charity shops on the telly. Still, the Waterford blues rock foursome have struck gold with this melodramatic number, which boasts a fierce pop edge, thanks to some swooning guitars and a bouncy, hummable chorus.
