Andrea Corr as the "local girl" who falls for a fiddle player from Liverpool? Yep, when she reignites her acting career to star in romantic musical-comedy the Great Ceili War
Andrea Corr is set to resume her acting career with a role in The Great Ceili War.
Directed by Widows' Peak and Hamburger Hill man John Irvin, the musical comedy starts shooting this month in Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man, and will take 10 weeks to complete.
Corr is being mooted for the role of Anna, a local girl who "becomes romantically involved with a fiddle player who travels from Liverpool" to compete in the County Clare Battle of the Bands.
The part was offered to her by Ros Hubbard, the Dublin casting agent who drafted her into The Commitments, and famously told John Hughes that, "You've got to manage them (The Corrs)."
