Picture This release new single 'Winona Ryder'
The band will also embark on a stadium tour across Ireland this summer.
Critically acclaimed Irish band Picture This have released a new single today, titled 'Winona Ryder.'
The upbeat indie pop track is about falling in love and the butterflies-in-your-stomach feeling that goes along with it. Lead vocalist Ryan Hennessy compares the feeling to meeting a celebrity and being star struck. "It almost doesn’t feel real and it sets your heart racing and stomach tumbling and you don’t really know how to act," he explains. The song was inspired by a time he had given up on love, but someone new reminded him that it still exists.
"Someone can unexpectedly walk into your life and turn it upside down in the best way through grace, beauty, and recklessness," he says. "'Winona Ryder' is a celebration of the nervousness and edginess bestowed on you by someone you are in awe of."
Picture This earned success with their 2017 full-length debut, Picture This, which was certified triple-platinum in Ireland. The band have since sold out shows throughout the UK and Ireland. 2019 release MDRN LV gave them even more success and became the top selling album from an Irish artist last year.
The band are planning to release another album soon and have announced a stadium tour in Ireland this summer.
