Parquet Courts 'This Is Happening Now' - Track Review

Brooklyn-based, self-declared punks Parquet Courts are a band that have threatened great things since their inception. For a variety of reasons, however, they haven’t really followed through on their promise and their lo-fi songs can be a little hit and miss. Charity single ‘This Is Happening Now’ fits the former category and is a schizophrenic effort which flits from a Pavement-like crawl to a Discharge-esque punk burst . More tunes like this and they’re in business.
