Oxegen announce ticket scheme extension
Festival goers will be happy to hear that Oxegen’s ticket deposit scheme has been extended to allow fans to pay €120 now and the rest by June 19.
After receiving such positive feedback when the scheme was first introduced in March, Oxegen organisers MCD have agreed to re-introduce the scheme, allowing strapped-for-cash fans the chance to spread their payments.
The new recession-proof initiative will allow music fans to spread the cost of their festival ticket purchase over a number of weeks rather than forking out the full ticket price at once.
The concept is open to those who have yet to purchase tickets for the rock-and-roll weekend. It allows a deposit payment of €120 to secure a weekend ticket, with the remaining balance to be paid by June 19.
Tickets for Oxegen 2009 are priced €224.50 for three days (including camping) and are available from Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide.
