Owl Speak

The brainchild of Ant Boland, formerly of Kildare band Belljar, Avalanche Ammo is as high-strung a one-man band as you'll find on this green isle, fusing breakneck guitar riffs with infectious party hollers and a sneaky disco underbelly. Boland's free EP Animals will please fans of the instrumental bliss of The Redneck Manifesto and Adebisi Shank, while stand-out track 'Owl Speak' (nothing we like more 'round here than a good concept EP), is pure, unforgiving noise rock. The not-so-subtle background din of hollering kids takes this one from 'love' to 'adore'. A must-listen.
