Sheffield rockers Frenetics, new wave-inspired Londoners My Tiger My Timing, alt. pop sixsome little xs for eyes, sprightly indie quintet The Gorgeous Colours and psyche rockers Bloody Endsm are all given the Sounds Of System Breakdown treatment on this free collection of remixes. The bobbing, blissed-out reworking of little xs for eyes’ ‘Kind Hearts’ is a personal fave, but I’m also rather partial to the dub-infused beat on ‘Ella’, which takes the Frenetics track in some delightfully otherworldly directions.
