Only Girl (In The World)
No longer content with telling rude boys to 'giddy up', Ri-Ri expects a little more from her male suitors and/or equine pals these days, as new track 'Only Girl (In The World)' goes to show. "I want you to love me…" she proclaims in an uncharacteristically clear croon, and even if she follows it up with "…like I’m a hot pie", it's a welcome relief from the thrusting sexuality of her previous hits (good for club-hopping, not so appropriate when standing in line at the deli counter in your local Spar.) Unnecessary brackets (notwithstanding), this peep at her fifth studio album is punchy, memorable and terribly grating, which as we've all learned by now is the key to Rihanna's astonishing success.
