One More Try [Live cover]

The charming funny bone tickers over at the AV Club have just launched series two of AV Undercover, a project that asks artists to perform a live version of one of 25 tunes specially chosen by the site's own writers (this year's selection includes Toto's 'Africa' to 'Girls And Boys' by Blur). First up to bat in the World Series of nutty covers is Iron And Wine, who take on George Michael's 1987 hit 'One More Try'. Ever the victim of hilariously cheesy production, George's soulful ballad hasn't aged well, but these bearded folk rockers have rendered it instantly enjoyable. Look out for Swell Season lass Marketa Iglova too, who provides some truly gorgeous backing vocals.
