OMD return to Dublin
The 80's hit-merchants will be back on Irish soil for a show this May.
OMD continue their renaissance with a May 30 visit to Vicar St., tickets for which are priced €30 and go on sale on Friday January 31.
Having spent the ‘80s racking up a string of hits – ‘Electricity’, ‘Enola Gay’, ‘Souvenir’ and ‘Joan Of Arc’ being among the Team HP favourites – the Liverpool synthpop pioneers went their separate ways, only to regroup in 2007.
Currently celebrating their 35th birthday, the band have been hailed as an influence by everyone from The xx and The Killers to La Roux and Owen Pallett who reworked another of their big songs, ‘Dazzle Ships’.

It’ll be something of a homecoming for Andy McCluskey who was in tax exile in Dublin for a couple of years.
