Oasis Cardiff setlist gives Irish fans a taster of what to expect in Dublin next month
The highly anticipated Cardiff gig opened with ‘Hello’ and finished with a triology of the band’s biggest hits
Oasis kicked off their Live ’25 reunion tour in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on Friday night. Here’s the full breakdown of what went down, giving a taste of what Irish fans can expect ahead of their Croke Park double bill on August 16 and 17.
Performing for the first time together in 16 years, brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher were joined onstage by past members Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, as well as new drummer Joey Waronker.
Noel’s daughter Anaïs was seen in the crowd before her father and uncle’s performance. She recently hosted the new BBC Sounds series Mad for Oasis, which explores the impact the band has had on its superfans.
Oasis began their comeback set with ‘Hello’, marking it as the first time the song has been performed live since 2002.

Next up was ‘Acquiesce’, followed by ‘Morning Glory’, ‘Some Might Say’ and ‘Bring It On Down’.
Later in the set, the Britpop pair played their classics ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’, ‘Fade Away’, ‘Supersonic’ and ‘Roll With It’.
This was followed by Noel singing 'Talk Tonight', 'Half the World Away' and 'Little By Little'.
Then it was time for 'D’You Know What I Mean?' and 'Stand By Me', before Noel dedicated ‘Cast No Shadow’ to “the genius of Richard Ashcroft”, frontman of The Verve, who opened for Oasis earlier in the night.
'Slide Away', 'Whatever', 'Live Forever' and 'Rock 'n' Roll Star' closed off the set before the encore.
During 'Live Forever', tribute was paid to the late Liverpool player Diogo Jota as his image was displayed on the big screens, following the 28-year-old's death in a car accident last week.

While returing for the encore, Noel thanked his audience and fellow bandmates, “Thank you very much. Let’s hear it for Gem on the guitar, Andy Bell on bass guitar, our 14th drummer Mr Joey Waronker. And this fucking uber legend here,” referring to Bonehead.
The encore began with ‘The Masterplan’, before the band performed a duo of their two biggest hits, ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ and ‘Wonderwall'.
They ended the show with ‘Champagne Supernova’.
Oasis' next gig will be in the Gallagher brothers’ hometown Manchester, as the band play the first of five gigs at Heaton Park on Friday.
The band will hit the Irish stage at Croke Park on August 16 and 17.
