As fans of Babyshambles will know, Pete Doherty‘s lethargic London drawl is possessed of the ability to whisk us right back to the early noughties without even trying, a skill he puts to terrific use on comeback single ?Nothing Comes To Nothing‘, a poetic, bouncy piece of vintage Doherty that has YouTube users obsessing over lyrics (?I heard it said/You had come back from the dead/You were playing so fine/Scooping up the soul of the wine‘), rather than rehab rumours, a very good sign indeed.
