No Retreat [live session]

Between them, the members of Ireland’s newest supergroup No Spill Blood have made a hell of a lot of noise over the years; featuring Ruadhan O’Meara (Magic Pockets/Guilty Optics/Crayonsmith) on synth, Matt Hedigan (Elk/Hands Up Who Wants To Die/Hooray For Humans) on bass and vocals and Lar Kaye (Adebisi Shank) on drums, this thrash-happy rock trio are no strangers to the stage, which is precisely why they look so comfortable on the damn thing in this clip. Filmed at DCTV One’s To Watch festival in Whelan’s earlier this year, it features a performance of ‘No Retreat’, the sometimes cosmic, sometimes chaotic number from their debut six-track album Street Meat, which you can hear in full at Bandcamp.
