Nik Turner is ready to hit the road

Get that air-saxophone ready because former Hawkwind man Nik Turner is coming to a venue near you in the coming days. Following a successful showing at this year's Glastonbury Festival, the Nik Turner Band are delighted to grace Irish shores with their presence.

The much-anticipated tour kicks off at 21:30 on Saturday July 30 at The Lower Deck in Rathmines. From there Nik and his bandmates will take in Cork and Galway. Speaking to Hot Press recently, Nik spoke candidly about his years on the road and how he was fired from Hawkwind no less than twice!

The Nik Turner band play the following dates across Ireland:

Saturday July 30 - The Lower Deck, Rathmines
Monday August 1 - Anstailin, Cork
Thursday August 4 - Ma Murphy's, Bantry
Friday August 5 - The Westin Hotel, Galway
