Now this, I like. Whenever it seems like pop music is on its last legs (I’m looking at you, Mohombi…), sometimes all you really need, to restore the faith, is a killer beat and a story about some niggas blowing shit up in Paris. Throw in a brilliantly-timed sample from Will Ferrell movie Blades Of Glory, quotable Kanyeism ‘that shit cray’ and the rhyming of “Jay” with “fish fillet” and you get one of the biggest, ballingest (sure, it’s a word!) and funnest tracks of the year.
