New Gods 'Gods Of Punk EP' - Track Review
Comprising four killer tracks, this debut release from Dublin’s New Gods announces their arrival in fine fashion. Entitled ‘Gods Of Punk’, (which I can only assume is a nod to Poison Idea’s ‘Kings Of Punk’), the raucous record drips with attitude and is packed with more venom than a vat full of vipers. Lovers of early Murder City Devils and the Dead Boys will especially adore the hip-shaking, sleaze-laden punk stomp of ‘Killer Creep’ and the DC Comics-indebted ‘Apokolips’. Punk fans, get ready to worship some New Gods.
