After three Murphy's Live Heats, the two bands are prepared to duke it out.
Waterford band, Ashley Sheehan & The Mute and Cork’s Lotus Lullaby have made the final cut and are set to show what they've got when they perform at the Final of Murphys's Live 2006.
The performance will be judged by a panel including Angela Dorgan of the Federation Music Collective, a representative from Murphy's, and Hot Press' very own Steve Cummins!
The bands' nerves may be hightened before playing their final Murphy's show, which takes place at Cyprus Avenue, Cork on March 28. It'll all be worth it, though, after the winner is given a life-changing €2,000 worth of studio recording time and both acts walk away with a well-deserved buzz surrounding their names.
The Walls realise the importance of the competition for unsigned bands. "An event like Murphy's Live can be a great help in getting a band into the public eye. The gigs take place in proper venues and feature the best in Irelands up-and-coming talent. After that it's up to the artists to rise to the challenge and show what they can do at their best.”
