Murder City Devils - Track Review
I Don’t Wanna Work For Scum Anymore
When seminal Seattle-based sleaze punk rockers the Murder City Devils reunited a few years ago, some wondered if they still had that spark which originally made then such a ferocious force of nature. ‘I Don’t Wanna Work For Scum Anymore’ proves without a shadow of a doubt the band have retained that fire in their bellies as the tempestuous two minute track is a scintillating salvo of garage rock. The riffs sound as bloodthirsty as the residents of Castle Dracula, singer Spencer Moody’s howls are unhinged and the whole song is a nice and noisy mix of the Birthday Party and the Dead Boys. Welcome back guys.
