Mogwai to play an extra Vicar Street gig this July
Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 7 at 10am.
Following the announcement of a sold-out gig in Dublin’s Vicar Street on July 17, Scottish post-punk icons Mogwai have added a second date for July 26.
The band is also set to make stops at the Heineken Big Top at the Galway International Arts Festival on July 24 as well as Live at the Big Top in Limerick, on July 25.
Mogwai formed in Glasgow in 1995, and consists of Stuart Braithwaite, Barry Burns, Dominic Aitchison, and Martin Bulloch. They have released ten studio albums since their debut in 1997.

Their last record, The Bad Fire, was released this month and received a glowing 9/10 from Hot Press, saying that it “majestically transcends the gloom, with a celestial beauty triumphing over the darkness.”
In March 2024, Mogwai premiered their documentary Mogwai: If The Stars Had A Sound, directed by longtime collaborator Antony Crook. It is currently being shown at film festivals across the world.
Tickets for Mogwai’s second Vicar Street date sell from €44.20 starting this Friday, February 7.
