Miracle Worker
Please bear with me while I dismantle SuperHeavy, the latest in an exhausting line of celeb-filled supergroups that seem to be put together from the dinner party wishlist of a deranged librarian. Okay. Eurythmics man Dave Stewart, I have quite a lot of respect for. Damian Marley, I have a passing interest in. Mick Jagger, I enjoy, if only for his magenta suits. Joss Stone, I could be swayed on, if there was a return to ‘Super Duper Love’-eque form. And AR Rahman? Well, who didn’t love Slumdog Millionaire? It only stands to reason that five of the most successful musicians on the planet could bound together to make an alright pop song. Unfortunately, ‘Miracle Worker’ is not just one song, it is five individually decent songs coming together to make one great throbbing stinker. Enjoyable only for music-fans with multiple personality disorder.
