Michael Ball will take over Wogan's BBC Radio 2 slot from Sunday April 10th
BBC today announced that Michael Ball will be taking over Terry Wogan's Sunday Morning slot on BBC Radio 2 from April 10.
Ball will host The Michael Ball Show every Sunday morning from 11am to 1pm changing from his regular Sunday afternoon slot that he currently does on the station.
In a statement Ball said "I feel so honoured to have been asked to return to Sunday mornings on BBC Radio 2. I learned so much from my great friend and mentor Sir Terry Wogan. He was simply the best,"
BBC also announced that Richard Madeley would host the show for 10 weeks a year when Ball is away.

Broadcasting legend Terry Wogan died in January following a short illness. He had been hosting the popular Sunday morning slot since early 2010 and finished only in November 2015.
Before taking the weekend slot Wogan had been anchoring the Radio 2 breakfast show for almost 30 years. At its peak it was the most listened to radio show in Britain confirming the high regard for which Wogan was held.
