Mastodon 'The Motherload' - Track Review

Although the divisive “What’s wrong with being sexy?” video is a hot potato, an even bigger controversy in Mastodon-land is their continuing courtship of the mainstream. Old school fans hate their more “commercial” material and new record Once More ‘Round The Sun has created a schism. Personally, I prefer bags of melody in my metal and this Lizzy and Maiden-indebted offering has that in abundance – so there. Turn it up.
