A man has been arrested in the UK after posting an obscene story online about Girls Aloud.
A 35-year-old English civil servant is being prosecuted under the Obscene Publications Act for posting a 12-page story on to a porn site that describes the “mutilation, rape and murder” of the five members of Girls Aloud.
Police arrested Darryn Walker at his South Shields home after receiving a complaint from the Internet Watchdog Foundation.
It’s one of the first times that the Obscene Publications Act has been applied to the written word since 1960 when it was used to take the publishers of Lady Chatterley’s Lover, Penguin, to court.
