Mahalia announces her debut album Love & Compromise
The rising star's debut is set to arrive on September 6.
Mahalia, tipped as one of Hot Press's Hot For 2019 International Acts, has revealed that her debut album will arrive later this year. Entitled Love & Compromise, the album will include her previous hit singles 'I Wish I Missed My Ex' and 'Do Not Disturb'.
Love & Compromise charts the R&B star's full developmental journey since she was signed as an artist at just 13. Production comes from the likes of Sounwave (Kendrick, St. Vincent, Schoolboy Q), DJ Dahi (Drake, Pusha T) and Pop Wansel (Ariana Grande, Alessia Cara), as well as long-time collaborator Maths Time Joy. The record is executively produced by Felix Joseph, who has previously worked with our very own Hare Squead.
Mahalia enjoyed an incredible 2018, topping YouTube’s inaugural ‘One To Watch’ list, and soon after becoming the only musician to be tipped for the BRIT’s Critics Choice Award and the BBC Sound Poll shortlists in the same year.
