The record comes out on August 22.
Canadian musician Mac DeMarco has announced the release of his new album Guitar for August 22 via Mac’s Record Label.
The record was written, recorded, produced and mixed by the musician, and mastered by David Ives.
He also released the new single ‘Home’, as well as its accompanying music video, which was shot by DeMarco himself on tripods.

“I think Guitar is as close to a true representation of where I’m at in my life today as I can manage to put to paper.” DeMarco commented. “I’m happy to share this music, and look forward to playing these songs as many places as I’m able.”
Most recently, DeMarco also announced Dublin shows in the National Stadium on November 17 & 18, 2025, marking his first stop in the Irish capital since he headlined Vicar Street in late 2019. Tickets are still available here.
Guitar will be his seventh studio album and his first since April 2023's One Wayne G - a mainly instrumental project that consisted of 199 tracks.
You can pre-order the album here.
