Here’s where I’m supposed to tell you all about the new Jedward single, only I’ve had a better idea. Why don’t I let them do it for me? “It was written by Trinity, these guys in Stockholm,” Edward told me back in April, “and it’s like a really, really big summer anthem. It’s got a really big build-up, it starts off slow and then there’s a whole dance break and everything. It’s like ‘We Found Love’ combined with ‘Titanium’, and the lyrics are really, really good.” That’s a lot of reallys, right? Right, but the quaffed rogues deserve it; they may not have the connections or resources granted to their Stateside counterparts, but ‘Luminous’ is a thoroughly charming stab at bouncy, throbbing, Guetta-sized pop.
