Luka Bloom releases new album, plots tour
Singer-songwriter Luka Bloom will release his 12th album Eleven Songs next month, with a full Irish tour planned to promote the record.
Luka Bloom's Eleven Songs is out on October 10 on his own Big Sky Records label.
The album is the singer's 12th release, following an 18-year career of worldwide tours with the likes of The Pogues, The Hothouse Flowers, and of course older brother Christy Moore.
Co-produced by Luka and Dave Odlum (The Frames, Gemma Hayes), the record features a little help from friends and musicians Dave Hingerty, Trevor Hutchinson, Liam O'Maonlai, Paul Smith, Cora Venus Lunny, Ken Edge, Sinead Martin, Robbie Moore and the Gardiner St. Gospel Choir.
The album will be preceded by the single, ‘I’m On Your Side’, and followed by a promotional tour stopping off at: Birr Theatre, Offaly (October 10); The Dock, Carrick-On-Shannon, Leitrim (11); The Waterfront, Belfast (15); The Forum, Waterford (17); The Savoy, Cork (18); Vicar St., Dublin (November 1).
Tickets are on sale now, with the exception of the Dublin date, which goes on sale tomorrow (Wednesday September 10), priced €28.
