Louth Contemporary Music Society announces 20th anniversary festival
The festival will take place in late June and will feature artists from multiple countries
Louth Contemporary Music Society will celebrate its 20th anniversary with the Coming Together Festival, taking place in Dundalk on June 19 and 20.
A total of five concerts will take place across the two-day festival. Venues include St Nicholas’ Church, The Oriel Centre at Dundalk Gaol, St Vincent’s Chapel and The Spirit Store.
The festival will kick off on Friday evening with works by composers Beat Furrer and Frederic Rzewski. Saturday’s programme includes a noon performance centred around Swiss composer Jürg Frey and his string trio, alongside music by American composer Harry Partch. The festival will conclude with a performance from Grammy-nominated opera singer Davóne Tines.
Founded in 2006, Louth Contemporary Music Society is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting contemporary music in Ireland. The group has previously organised similar events, including a midsummer festival for its 17th anniversary featuring artists from around the world.
“LCMS has grown around the idea of people coming together in a room and listening together. Over the years, audiences have become increasingly open and curious, engaging deeply with the music we present.", said founder Éamonn Quinn. "The 2026 festival reflects that spirit, bringing artists and listeners together through the experience of live music,”
