Lorde - Tennis Court
Ever since she burst onto the scene with ‘Royals,’ Kiwi songstress Lorde has been hailed the saviour of modern pop. New single ‘Tennis Court’ only affirms that declaration, as it’s a fiendishly catchy, often comical comment on youth culture. “It’s a new art form showing people how little we care (yeah)/We’re so happy even when we’re smiling out of fear” she croons over a hip-hop beat, while the chorus itself cements her status as one of the most insightful and inventive acts out there. Praise (the) Lorde.
