Looking Through You
Limp duo channel keane
Why in God’s name would anyone ever want to sound like Keane? After listening to indie hopefuls The Yeah You’s debut, this writer feels like shaking the duo vigorously while playing The Queen Is Dead to them in a bid to exorcise their dad rock demons. Sadly though, the power of Morrissey doesn’t compel them as it seems they’d rather listen to Mika, ELO and other cheery, middle of the road stuff instead. Most of the songs on Looking Through You sound like they were written by the Tweenies on an off day. Not good.
