London Calling shortlist announced
The race to play a Paddy's Day festival gig in Trafalgar Square is heating up!
The shortlist has been announced for the London Calling competition, which will see one of the following performing in Trafalgar Square as part of the city’s annual St. Patrick’s Day festival. They’ll also get a fabulous cache of prize which will keep them out – or perhaps in! – mischief for a couple of days.
Those seeking your votes here
are Bipolar Empire, Grand Pocket Orchestra, Fingersmith, John, Shelley & The Creatures, Ladydoll, Empire Saints, Machine Gun Baby, Identity Parade, The Aftermath, Riptide Movement, Indigo Fury, Sounds Of System Breakdown, Sleep Thieves, Vasco Junior, The Beat Poets, The Chakras, The Dirty 9s, Jester, The DC Experiment and Pocket Promise.
They’ll be joining a March 14 line-up that already includes Foy Vance, The Coronas, John Spillane, Kila, Four Men & A Dog, Mundy and Camille O’Sullivan. 20,000 people turned up for the gig last year, so it should be a cracker.
