Live review: CLU
We’re slightly more used to hearing CLU perform at night than on a scorching Saturday afternoon, but that doesn’t mean that their set sounds any the worse for it. With their full visual show ongoing as a backdrop to their electronic sound, the result is an intense, almost hypnotic show.
The duo draw an extremely chilled out crowd to the Lighthouse Tent, but those gathered are more than willing to oblige when some dancier tunes are introduced midway through the set. The addition of some live vocals by Sean Cooley and Kevin A Freeney brings a level of interaction to an otherwise dreamlike set.
Well-established on the festival circuit in Ireland at this stage, the pair played their first live UK show in London last month; it can only be onwards and upwards from there.
