'Oblivion' features in a new Tom Cruise flick of the same name.
M83 have just unveiled their first fresh material since the magnificent Hurry Up We're Dreaming got critics in a tizzy almost two years ago.
The track, 'Oblivion', finds the French band working with Norwegian vocalist Susanne Sundfør. It is part of the soundtrack for Oblivion, a big budget, end-of-the-world sci-fi film starring Tom Cruise – you imagine it might do some business at the box office when it comes out April 19.
M83 mainman Anthony Gonzales is working with Joseph Trapanese (Tron: Legacy) on the OST.

Says Gonzales: "Scoring the film was a true enjoyment," says Gonzales of his work on the soundtrack. "It involved lots of stress, lots of sweat, and lots of hard work, but in the end, the soundtrack serves the movie very well.
"It really is a great Hollywood soundtrack. Oblivion is a big film with a big sound and a big orchestra, and while the soundtrack is different from my original idea, in the end I am very proud of it. I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of this journey."
