LISTEN: James Vincent McMorrow’s ‘Red Dust’
Listen to the second offering from the singer/songwriter’s forthcoming Post Tropical.
There were a few skeptics when James Vincent McMorrow revealed that he would be changing his sound from the folky inflections that had served him so well on his debut in an attempt to make music more akin to what he himself listens to. All doubts were quickly quenched when first single ‘Cavalier’ arrived earlier this year. ‘Red Dust’ is in a similar vein and will please fans of James Blake or Bon Iver.
McMorrow’s signature falsetto is surrounded by delicate piano and gentle electronic touches. Mr McMorrow is building quite the buzz for the forthcoming album which will be released on January 10.
You can listen to ‘Red Dust’ below.
