LISTEN: Flaming Lips and Bon Iver collaboration
Check out 'Ashes In The Air' now.
With Record Store Day fast approaching (that all-important date is April 21), we've seen a steady stream of big acts announce special releases and now we have the opportunity to listen to one of them. In a collaboration to make indie kids' heads spin, The Flaming Lips have teamed up with Bon Iver for a track on their Record Store Day release The Flaming Lips And Heady Fwends. The song in question is entitled 'Ashes In The Air' and you'll find it just below these very words. Oh, and in the spirit of the day, be sure to shill out for the actual release when April 21 comes around. Lips leader Wayne Coyne has said that they will be using the blood of some of the contributors (a list which includes Nick Cave, Ke$ha and Erykah Badu) in a limited edition run of packaging. We guess that run will go fast.
