Listen: Delorentos, ‘Be Here Christmas Time’
Delorentos first Christmas EP is described as a "lullaby for grownups"
The Irish band have released their first Christmas EP, Be Here Christmas Time, in aid of Focus Ireland. The EP features an original song from the group, as well as two covers to get you in the Christmas spirit. The Dublin-based band cover Christmas classic 'Winter Song', originally released by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson. Delorentos also take on 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)', a version which was originally sung by Darlene Love and released in 1963.
The original title track, Be Here Christmas Time, celebrates togetherness at this wonderful time of year. The track hones in on the true meaning of Christmas; simply being with loved ones. As the band puts it: "Not the obligatory family mash-up but time with your best pal, who gets you and accepts you and who you can chat with into the early hours, or sit with happily in complete silence."
2018 saw the band release their 5th Top 10 Studio Album and fulfil another year of European touring and Irish festivals (Indiependence, Electric Picnic, Sea Sessions, Live At The Marquee) climaxing in a headline show at the Olympia Theatre in mid-November.
