Lisa O'Neill announces Imbolc show at Vicar Street
Tickets go on sale October 16 at 10 am.
Lisa O'Neill has announced a show celebrating Imbolc on February 1, 2027 at Dublin's Vicar Street.
This comes after the announcement of her sold-out December 21 show. The dates bridge two significant days in the traditional Irish calendar.
"The dual concerts form an arc, tracking the movement of light through the Irish seasons," reads a statement on social media. "The upcoming show on December 21st takes place in the peak of winter, on the winter solstice, the longest night of the year. Historically a time for gathering and reflection."
Meanwhile, "Feb 1st lands on the celebration of Imbolc and St Brigid, marking the end of the earths winter sleep and the awakening of the land with the lengthening days. The turning point where new life begins to awake from dormancy. When seeds are sown."
On her February 1 date, O'Neill will be joined by percussive Sean-nós dancer Stephanie Keane and writer and ecologist Anja Murray. She is also set to introduce new songs, according to the statement.
Her December 21 show will see her joined by special guest Seamas Hyland, alongside other surprise Christmas sets. This follows last year's celebratory performance on the same date.
The contemporary Irish folk artist is also set to tour with The Pogues for their upcoming November and December dates across Europe, the UK and Ireland, including dates on December 9 in Dublin, December 10 in Belfast and December 12 in Killarney.
O'Neill also recently wrapped up her September tour of her home province, Ulster, as part of her effort to play in all 32 counties of Ireland.
The five-time BBC Folk Awards nominee released her fifth studio album, All Of This Is Chance, in 2023. The previous year, her rendition of Bob Dylan's 'All The Tired Horses' closed out the final season of Peaky Blinders.
In late 2025, O'Neill digitally released her EP The Wind Doesn’t Blow This Far Right, which is comprised of six tracks, including her cover of ‘All The Tired Horses’ and ‘Homeless In The Thousands (Dublin in the Digital Age)’ which featured Peter Doherty and is a response to homelessness in Dublin, among other songs.
Tickets for her Vicar Street show go on sale October 16 at 10 am here.
