Limerick acts compete for Bob Dylan support
The fight to the rock 'n' roll death is taking place this Friday in Dolan's!
The five Limerick acts who’ll be duking it out to support Bob Dylan in Thomond Park have been announced.
Windings, Animal Beats, Last Days Of Death Country, Nick Carswell & The Elective Orchestra and Brendan Markham will do battle on Friday June 25 in Dolan’s Warehouse to see who will join David Gray, Seasick Steve and Alabama 3 in opening for The Big Zim on July 4.
The panel of judges will include local music writers Eric Fitzgerald, Alan Owens and Hot Press’ Stuart Clark among others. The competition is the idea of Aiken Promotions' head honcho Peter Aiken who wants to highlight the depth of talent that currently exists locally.
