Lily Allen announces new album West End Girl
West End Girl is out this Friday, October 24.
Lily Allen has announced her first album in seven years, West End Girl, will be released later this week.
The 'Smile' singer shared the news in a simple post across her social media featuring the album's cover, 14-song tracklist and the release date of Friday, October 24.

A handful of fellow artists praised Allen in the comments, with Katy Perry writing "Ready" and Hayley Kiyoko similarly saying "WE ARE READY," while Mae Muller exclaimed, "lily drought is OVER THANK GOD."
Jade Thirwell, Kim Petras, PinkPantheress and Alex Gaskarth also expressed their support.
In a press release yesterday, Allen said she is "nervous" ahead of the album's release.
"The record is vulnerable in a way that my music perhaps hasn’t been before—certainly not over the course of a whole album," Allen said.
"I’ve tried to document my life in a new city and the events that led me to where I am in my life now. At the same time, I’ve used shared experiences as the basis for songs which try to delve into why we humans behave as we do, so the record is a mixture of fact and fiction which I hope serves as a reminder of how stoic yet also how frail we humans can be.
"In that respect I think it’s very much an album about the complexities of relationships and how we all navigate them. It’s a story."
West End Girl was written by Allen and her musical director, Blue May (Joy Crookes, Loyle Carner). The pair were joined by Seb Chew (Banks) and Kito (Jorja Smith) for production.
The cover art was painted by Spanish artist Nieves González.
West End Girl is Allen's fifth studio album, following her 2018 release No Shame.
Since No Shame, Allen has appeared in various theatre productions on the West End and founded the BBC podcast Miss Me? which she co-hosts with TV presenter Miquita Oliver.
In 2023, Allen starred in Sharon Horgan's comedy-drama TV series Dreamland. The same year, she co-starred in Irish-British director Martin McDonagh’s The Pillowman.
Allen's first two albums, Alright, Still and It's Not Me, It's You, were certified platinum by both BPI and IRMA. Several of her hit singles — including 'The Fear', 'Not Fair' and 'Somewhere Only We Know' — debuted in the top five on Irish Charts.
She has headlined four world tours and received 31 awards and 73 nominations over her two-decade-long music career.
Her accolades include a BRIT Award for best British Female Solo Artist of 2010, a Meteor Ireland Music Award for Best International Female Artist of 2007 and three separate Ivor Novello Awards. She has also been nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award for her acting.
West End Girl is out on Friday, October 24 via BMG.
