Like A Mouse
As 2013 ushers in a head-spinning amount of shiny new artists, it’s encouraging to know that we can rely on the monstrous, life-affirming spazz rock of And So I Watch You From Afar to yank us out of our comfort zone. And so to album number three, the ecstatically-titled All Hail Bright Futures, and its paradoxically-titled lead single ‘Like A Mouse’. Calling to mind the relentless ‘Search:Party:Animal’ from sophomore LP Gangs, it’s a splendidly giddy piece of throat-grabbing rock that fits much better alongside images of serpents, sharks, bears and any other ass-kicking animal you can think of.
