Let the hard times roll
NEW-AGE NEO-BURT BACHARACH MINI-SYMPHONIES
Former Easyworld frontman David Ford's third solo effort continues his favoured themes of regret, loss and a bit more regret ('Panic,' 'She's Not The One'). If it ain't broke, why fix it? Coming off as a kind of new-age Bert Bacharach, singer/songwriter Ford's songs are mini-symphonies of shockingly good proportions. With hints of David Gray and Fyfe Dangerfield in his ragged voice, Let The Hard Times Roll is a finely-crafted call to arms for anyone who has let the bastards drag them down one too many times.
