Legion of Boom
The Crystal Method attempt to bridge some kind of gap between electronic and rock music.
The Crystal Method attempt to bridge some kind of gap between electronic and rock music. Enlisting the help of former Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland, Bellrays frontwoman Lisa Kekaula and John Garcia, one-time singer with Kyuss they don’t make a bad fist of it at all. In much the same way as The Crystal Method are as at home DJing at Versace fashion shows in Milan as they are playing to suburban kids in warehouse raves. In the same way, the album straddles various styles to provide a very unique, stomping blend of metal and break-beats.
All in all, Legion Of Boom has an authorative if slightly bombastic feel. But there’s every chance you’ll hear some of these pulsating gems sound-tracking an action or sci-fi film coming to a cinema near you soon.
