Lauren Guillery to play free gig
Dublin-based French-born singer and electric guitarist Lauren Guillery has announced a free gig this month in Thomas Reads to promote her debut album.
Guillery will be playing songs from the forthcoming album, accompanied by guitarist Barry Quinn on several tunes, with Sarah 'Canadia' McDowell joining her on percussion. Guillery has been described by Hot Press' Jackie Hayden as "Very fresh and exciting." He added "Ireland could do with more women making such noises with guitars. Could have serious international appeal too."
The same gig sees Cork band Ladydoll launching their debut EP, and Guillery will have copies of her own EP for sale.
