The singer is currently performing the Australian leg of her Lifetimes Tour.
Katy Perry surprised fans at a “Club Katy” night in Australia on Saturday June 14.
She appeared at Chasers Nightclub following the final Melbourne date of her Lifetimes Tour at Rod Laver Arena. The club was celebrating its Katy Club event as part of its LGBTQIA+ Poof Doof night.
Making a surprise appearance during the evening, Perry told the crowd: “You guys raised me. I thank you and I love you, you are my chosen family.”
“Because you are my chosen family, a mother must provide for her children,” she continued. “So as a provider, I would like to open the bar for one hour. The drinks are on me, baby!”

Perry crashing her own themed event follows a similar instance where Lorde appeared in Sydney’s venue Mary’s Underground, which was hosting an evening titled “What Was That.”
Launching in early June, Perry’s Australian tour has so far featured four Melbourne gigs, as well as three dates in Sydney. During her June 9 show in Qudos Bank Centre, Perry was interrupted by a fan who put his arm around her and dance on stage.
The individual was later identified as Johnson Wen, a “serial prankster” known for posting videos of stage invasions to TikTok under the username @pyjamamann. He has since been arrested and charged with “entering enclosed land and obstructing a person in performance of work or duties”.
Wen was then granted conditional bail and will appear at Burwood Local Court on June 23. He has also been banned from the Sydney Olympic Park precinct for six months.
