Lana Del Rey - Meet Me In The Pale Moonlight
Recorded during sessions for her intriguingly titled third album Ultraviolence, Lana Del Ray’s latest effort ‘Meet Me In The Pale Moonlight’ is a breezy number which sees the singer indulge her inner Barry Manilow circa his ‘Copacabana’ heyday. An upbeat groove, lashings of strings and smooth vocals make this an enjoyable listen, though I’m not quite sure about the Mockney accent during the middle eight. Those of you who are expecting anything like the gloom-laden ‘Video Games’ however, will be bitterly disappointed. Fun, but forgettable.
