Watch the Fellini-inspired clip where Gaga plays a moden-day Mary Magdalene!
A day ahead of it's intended premiere, the music video for Lady Gaga's 'Judas' has leaked all over the internet, prompting, as with most of Gaga's actions, mass hysteria. The clip, which apparently cost $10 million and was directed by Gaga herself along with her choreographer Laurieann Gibson sees the star as a (sort of) modern-day Mary Magdalene (Mary Gagadalene anyone?) as her and a merry band of motorcylists ride into town, where as Gaga described herself "the apostles are revolutionaries in a modern-day Jerusalem". However the video is less 'Like A Prayer' and more 'Bad Romance' with typical Gaga-esque levels of enormous production values, countless costume changes and huge choreographed scenes of dancing.
Judas has struggled to recreate the form of Gaga's previous all-conquering smashes, creeping out of the Irish and UK charts almost as soon as it landed so it'll be interesting to see how the video can reverse it's fortunes. Gaga's second album proper Born This Way is released on May 20 and has been described by it's maker in typically modest fashion as "the greatest album of this decade".
Check it out.
